Enjoying the sweet moments

Last night I had the priveledge of attending the temple with the young men and women in our church. Two of my daughters were among those that attended, Ana 15 and Keli 12. This was Keli's first trip where she could do actual work in the temple. It was so cool to see these 16 kids do such a tremendous service. The sweetest moment was watching Ana explain some things to Keli and watching their smiles as they were "working". To hear her understanding of the work they were doing was inspirational to me.

I sat and wondered as I watched Keli and Ana with their smiles beaming that I wish I had the opportunity to go with my older kids. I am so grateful for my calling to work with the young women in my church. It has given me so many opportunities to see the good in teenagers today. There are so many temptations in the world today which clouds our thoughts. It is much harder on teens as they struggle to find who they are and face these same temptations at the same time. To be able to attend the temple the kids have to do everything they can to avoid these temptations. I know it's not easy and I know they aren't perfect, but I sure appreciate their willingness to try.

I just reread what I wrote. I don't think it adequately explains the happiness that I felt last night. It's the type of happiness that adds to inner peace. Thank you Ana & Keli!
