The Kids

When I got divorced nine years ago I thought that I would never remarry. I literally thought "who would want to take on a woman with FIVE kids". I was surprised to find that quite a few men would. In fact, several of the men I met wanted to have more children. Well that weeded out my options, I can not physically have any more children.

Then I met Jeff. When the subject of children came up I made sure to let him know that I couldn't have any more children. I can still hear him saying; "girl, I have four children and you have five. I think nine is plenty." It took a man with four kids already to know what five kids would require. I think Jeff and I had rose colored glasses on when we were talking about getting married. You know the same glasses you wear when you decide to have children. We think of the cute babies, we don't imagine the teenagers. I can't speak for Jeff but I know I didn't think of having so many teenagers at the same time. Six of the nine children are teenagers! I don't regret my decision, but I definately have my days where I think "Oh MY!" I can definately say that I am grateful for all of the children, maybe not the gray hairs that seem to be accompanying them, but definately for the children :)

I am thinking that I am going to try and post pictures of the kids with little snip-its of where and what they are. Be patient with me, I still haven't totally figured out all the fun stuff to do a blog. I need to do the pics on the computer with all of the pictures. That might help a little.

Have a great day everyone!
